Wervel
Wervel is a Belgian (Flemish) action group for an equitable and responsible agriculture (“Werkgroep voor een Rechtvaardige en Verantwoorde Landbouw”). Wervel started working on the Cerrado since 2009, at the request of Brazilian organisations. Wervel’s Cerrado team strives to make the Cerrado known across a wide public, in Brazil, because even there people are mostly unfamiliar with this large region, but also in Europe and internationally.
Wervel regularly organises exchanges to and from Brazil, and books are being published as well as accessible folders about the Cerrado. The Cerrado team also engages an international network of universities, with professors and students in Brazil, to ensure research is being conducted about the Cerrado. Wervel aims to engage the Belgian universities as well.

One of the highlights of recent travel from Wervel to Brazil was the reception and presentation of the Wervel movie 'The Rhythm of the Caterpillar' in the Belgian embassy in Brasília. You can find a preview of the movie here.
